Robocoin Bitcoin ATM Installed in Melbourne

The second two-way Bitcoin ATM has been installed in Australia, this time in Central Melbourne where the locals and tourists now can buy and sell Bitcoins through the Bitcoin ATM. The ATM has been installed in the Emporium shopping centre in Lonsdale Street, which is a key point in Melbourne.

The Bitcoin ATM was installed by Australian Bitcoin ATM’s and Chris Guzowski, Head of ABA, told the press that it was their second machine installed and that the first they installed in Sydney had already done hundreds of transactions, worth tens of thousands of dollars in total.

The new two-way Bitcoin ATM’s are very simple to use for people who are new to Bitcoins and can create a new account in less than five minutes for users. Furthermore it can scan the government photo ID and also uses facial recognition to verify it is actually the correct person. Security is a key in these machines and the ATM from Robocoin provides just that.

Further security measures includes having a scan of their palm done, as well as getting a personal pin code that is assisted with your phone number. This way it should be virtually impossible for anyone to steal your Bitcoins or use your identity for criminal things.

Once the account has been set up successfully, the users can buy and sell Bitcoins instantly and at the same rate as they would commonly get online. Guzowski told to the press that they have already had several users that purchased Bitcoins for more than $5,000 and that he believes this trend will continue, especially with the Bitcoin rising in value once again.
