Blockchain.info, started by Nic Cary in 2011, has taken over the Bitcoin.com domain in a deal that provides them with the domain for the next five years. While most details are not published, it is clear that with Blockchain’s good reputation and their solid ideas, it can only help the domain to become even better.
Blockchain.info provides not only statistics from the Bitcoin blockchain, but also provides Bitcoin news as well as a secure Bitcoin wallet for its users. This year is the third year they are in business and they have experienced steady growth ever since they launched the site, building up a reputation of being safe and secure.
“Blockchain.info is positioning itself to maintain and build its preeminence in the Bitcoin community by building strategic relationships that promote the understanding and usage of cryptocurrency,” A statement from Blockchain said.
“The Bitcoin.com domain name is the latest addition to a growing stable of products from Blockchain.info.”
Blockchain also purchased RTBTC’s Bitcoin trading platform in March, as well as having bought the ZeroBlock mobile device application. With the addition of Bitcoin.com in their portfolio, we would expect Blockchain to release even more products in the near future, to help Bitcoin users and companies towards getting a stable cryptocurrency.
