Mark Zuckerberg and his wife regularly post their activities on the Facebook platform. The couple has been a popular couple on the social media platform. As per one of his previous posts, he wants to learn something new every year. A recent post said that the challenge for 2018 would focus on exploring how technology powers people. Technology is powering Bitcoin. Facebook CEO wrote: “With the rise of a small number of big tech companies — and governments using technology to watch their citizens — many people now believe technology only centralises power rather than decentralises it.”

According to Mark Zuckerberg, one of the most interesting questions in the technological world is Centralisation Vs. Decentralisation. Many people use technology because they believe in its efficiency. It can be a decentralising force for putting more power in people’s hands. He has already explained his perspective that the potential for technology to help empower individuals has been challenging by a number of tech giants as well as governing bodies. A question arises here, will Facebook add a cryptocurrency in 2018? A Facebook spokesperson, however, declined the question.

A crypto currency is a powerful weapon of social awareness if it is linked to a social media platform. The CEO and founder of social activity company Match pool, Yonatan Ben Shimon, said: “So to do it accurately, the Facebook officials have to be with a partner from the crypto space that understands how to build it in a decentralized way,” Shimon said. If Facebook enters the cryptocurrency world, it can be a major force in the mass adoption of cryptos. The social media platform has nearly 2 billion active monthly users.
