Share

The Chinese cryptocurrency trading platform Huobi announced today that they have acquired the Bitcoin wallet service known as Quick Wallet. At the same time it was also announced that Zhang Jian, Chief Executive Officer at Quick Wallet, will become the new Technology Vice President of Huobi.

From this position it will be his task to develop new products and businesses as well as manage them, to ensure that they will not only succeed but also do quite well. It was not told exactly what Quick Wallet was sold for or what type of agreement that was made between the two parties.

Quick Wallet is a relatively new Bitcoin wallet on the market, as it was launched on July 15th this year, as a wallet product to Qukuai.com. It marketed itself as the first Bitcoin wallet for the Chinese market to use multi-signature technology and became very popular, with more than a thousand registrations within the first seven days.

It is planned that Quick Wallet will continue to be independent and continue to develop into a  better Bitcoin wallet. Quick Wallet will also have the possibility to work with other Bitcoin exchange platforms and other types of Bitcoin related companies.
