BTCTrip Accepting Dogecoin and Litecoin Payments for Travels

Share

The online Bitcoin travel agency BTCTrip was amongst the first sites to offer travel packages for Bitcoins and they have now expanded the cryptocurrencies that they accept as a payment method. In has come Litecoin and Dogecoin, which unlike Bitcoin payments processed by BitPay, will be processed by GoCoin.

The reason for the integration of more payment methods comes along with the fact that BTCTrip needs to gain more customers and one of the ways to do so is to accept two of the most popular cryptocurrencies. Martin Fernandez, CEO of BTCTrip said to CoinDesk.com that he believes that accepting cryptocurrencies is a smart long-term business strategy.

With other much larger travel agencies and companies already accepting Bitcoin payments (Amtrak and Expedia), it might be a way for BTCTrip to also differentiate themselves a bit from their competitors. Fernandez told CoinDesk that “I always repeat the same sentence, we are not accepting bitcoin [and dogecoin], we are accepting bitcoiners and dogecoiners. We are accepting the cryptocurrency community.”

So if you are looking to book a trip abroad and you want to pay with one of your cryptocurrencies, go to BTCTrip.com and book your next trip whilst paying with Bitcoin, Dogecoin and Litecoin.
