On March 7th 2017, the Estonian capital will host the Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference organized by Smile Expo. The event will showcase the latest cryptocurrency software and equipment and include talks by renowned experts in the field such as Bitcoin Foundation director Jon Matonis, cryptocurrency researcher Lasha Antadze and IBM lead engineer for Poland Karolina Marzantowicz.
The event is part of a series of Blockchain conferences held in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kiev and Prague. The Tallinn edition will be primarily centered around cryptocurrency and government control projects as well as Blockchain implementation in the banking, healthcare, media, commercial and other sectors.
Pavel Likhomanov, curator of the event, has expressed surprise over the rapid growth of the initiative, “Becoming interested in blockchain in 2015, we haven’t even supposed how comprehensive it would be in a year. After conferences in Moscow, Kiev and Prague, we have found a lot of partners and permanent speakers. Many of them will come with us in Tallinn.”
