The online Bitcoin payment processor BitPay just announced that they will begin to work together with Toshiba, one of the world’s leading electronics manufacturers. The deal means that Toshiba will integrate Bitcoin payments into their touch-screen point-of-sale platform VisualTouch, Coindesk.com revealed.

BitPay will provide help for the technical aspect of integrating Bitcoin payment system into the VisualTouch system. VisualTouch is being used by over 6,000 companies across the globe, mainly in the hospitality, restaurant, retail and grocery industries. The partnership will be formally announced at the 2014 National Restaurant Association Show, which is a yearly event hosted by US-based food groups.

“This partnership greatly expands the number of businesses that will now be able to accept bitcoin. BitPay is extremely excited about the relationship and the opportunity to expand the Toshiba VisualTouch solution to include bitcoin.” Tony Gallippi, Executive Chairman for BitPay said.

With the partnership between the two companies, it is certain that BitPay and Bitcoin will get a lot more exposure in a positive way and reach new crowds. BitPay is currently leading the way for online Bitcoin payment processors, signing one major deal after another.
