Initially bitcoin seemed like a hype for the elite, but the skepticism around the digital currency slowly begins to fade. More and more places accept the bitcoin as valid currency, even in places where you wouldn't expect it (yet). Since this month you can pay for your passport in Switzerland for example. The currency has also been introduced in the Netherlands to the car market.
The Dutch platform Autospot has made it possible to pay any car, unregarded the brand or typ, with bitcoins. The online car salesman wants to prepare for the future via this extra service, stated Pim Marks, CEO of Autospot. Although increasingly more places accept bitcoin as payment, Autospot is the first place where every new car can be paid for with the cryptocurrency.
