CoinBet has launched a new online gambling website specifically targetted towards the US market and residents. This website claims to be the first fully licensed gambling company operating in the US. American residents can use the gaming platform, which offers casino, poker and sports betting, and which can accept and process real money wagers from US players and which allows these players to move money in and out of the platform by using Bitcoins.
One of the most appealing features of the new CoinBet website is its promise of anonymity. The site registration requires only an email address and password and opens up a world of real money online gambing for US residents. The reason CoinBet is able to operate within the United States and offer its services to US residents, is because Bitcoins is not yet legally considered to be a currency (at least not by the US government). Online wagering using Bitcoin is not illegal under the Wire Act or under the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA).
This way, CoinBet claims to have become the first real money, one stop, online gambling provider for the US market after April 15th, 2011 or the day best known as Black Friday within the online gambling industry.
