Bitcoin ATM No 100 Sold by Lamassu

The world’s leading bitcoin ATM manufacturer Lamassu has just announced that they have sold the 100’th bitcoin ATM, hitting the first milestone in their four month operational period. With the sell of the 100th ATM they also launched an online interactive map where bitcoin enthusiasts can find and see exactly where the ATM’s are located around the world, with updates being done every time a new ATM is installed.

The first ATM’s have already been delivered to the purchasers, while the rest of the orders are expected to be carried out in the spring of 2014. CEO for Lamassu Zach Harvea made the following comment: ““We’ve had orders from all over the world. We will be shipping to 25 different countries, ranging from Canada to Kyrgyzstan, and we’ve translated our user interface into more than a dozen languages including Russian, Chinese and Friulian,“, “To me it’s a testament to the global reach of Bitcoin.” he continued.

Pre orders of the bitcoin ATM started in August, when Lamassu launched their website and with an attractive price of only $5,000 and minimalistic design, the ATM has become popular among bitcoin entrepreneurs and companies around the world.

The first ever bitcoin ATM was set up in Helsinki, Finland and was reviewed to be ideal for beginners to bitcoin and very easy to use. Another bitcoin enthusiast Juraj Bednar created a youtube video, where he shows how easy it is to buy bitcoins using the machine, taking only 15 seconds.

Lamassu projects to launch more ATM’s around Europe and Nothern America within the coming weeks and are receiving more orders every single day of operation. Zach Harvey made his last comment to the success of his enterprise: “It’s always exciting for a young startup to have sales ramp up, but what’s really thrilling for us is to know that these will be out in the wild, providing millions of people with effortless access to Bitcoin every single day.”
