By Daniel Allermand

Bitcoin ATM’s have arrived in the UK and they are currently making a big splash, as we see more and more of them popping up around the country. Now a Bitcoin ATM has been installed in Google’s Campus London, where tech entrepreneurs sit and work in the massive building.

Google has shown a big interest in Bitcoin lately, as the company has created a Bitcoin price index together with Coinbase, showing the Bitcoin price update in real-time. With the integration of a Bitcoin ATM, Google has taken the next step to engage their employees into cryptocurrencies.

With the installation, people working in the seven-story Google Campus London building can now use Bitcoins to pay for food and drinks in the basement of the campus. Around 35,000 people is a member of the campus and brings along 100,000 visitors annually, who will now have access to the ATM.

“We are excited to see how consumers will interact with the first Callsign-enabled BTM in the UK. Being exposed to new and growing technologies is critical for entrepreneurs and startup development so I cannot think of a better place for this BTM to be launched.” Zia Hayat, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Callsign.
