It has been announced that the World Series of Poker flagship Global Casino Championship event is going to take place at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino in North Carolina between Aug 8-10.
The three-day tournament will conclude the 13th season of the World Series of Poker Circuit with a grand spectacle offering a $1 million guaranteed prize pool.
The latest edition of the WSOP Circuit has covered 47 domestic and 14 international tour stops.
Players qualifying for the top 50 ranks in leaderboards have earned access to the Global Casino Championship, along with those in the Top 100 of the Global Poker Index. The latter, though, have to buy in against $10,000 in order to play in the event. In addition, participants in WSOP Circuit side events who have earned a gold ring get to play in the finale if they pay the $10,000 buy-in.
After the final event of the 13th season, Harrah’s Cherokee will also host the first tour stop of Season 14 which will take place between Aug 2-16 and feature 12 ring events.
