Gold Coaster golfer Steve Jones has bagged the Casino Pro-Am title. His faultless driving has helped him scoop the title.

2016 joint winner Steve fired a 7-under par 63 on Monday to claim victory by one shot over the field in the 17th staging of the event. Steve’s round included six birdies- 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 14th, and 16th holes. Steve’s round also added an eagle midway through the round on the 500m par 5, seventh courtesy of a chip-in.

Steve’s only blemish was bogey on the Par 4. Jones said, “ I struck my driver well today.”

He said going on the driver well gives an advantage over the rest of the field which he was not able to do in the past.

Tuesday’s Carton United Breweries Ocean Shores Pro-Am at Ocean Shores Country Club was the next stop on the Ladbrokes PGA Pro-Am Series. James Gibellini and Jacob Boycewere, were the following best professionals.
