Lakes Entertainment’s Rocky Gap Casino continues to increase their profits as they once again in May saw an increase in both revenues and profits from their casino. In May the Rocky Gap Casino had a total profit of $3,770,606 generated from slot machines, table games and poker the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency reported.
If you take the profit numbers and divide it out per unit it shows that each slot machine earns the casino $183,52 per day, table games with banking gives $1,254.96 and finally poker games gives $341,87. The casino operates a massive 577 slot machines inside the casino as well as 16 table games, which is the cause of the large profits every month.
Compared to April’s numbers of $3,635,207, the profits went up a around $135,000, which benefits Lakes Entertainment greatly.
“Net revenues were $12.3 million for the first quarter of 2014 compared to $3.3 million for the first quarter of 2013. The increase in net revenues for the three months ended March 30, 2014, compared to the three months ended March 31, 2013, was due to additional net revenue of $11.7 million related to the operation of Rocky Gap,” Lakes Entertainment said in a statement.
“We are pleased that although inclement weather negatively impacted operations at Rocky Gap in January and February, the property was able to meet overall first quarter expectations due to a successful March” COO and President of Lakes Entertainment, Tim Cope said in a press release.
