Resorts World Las Vegas Announces New Opening Date of 2020

The Malaysian-based developer, the Genting Group will begin construction of the $4 billion project Resorts World Las Vegas (RWLV) commencing in 2017 3rd Q. Originally the opening date was set as being 2019, but it is now pushed out until 2020, with designs being changed to concentrate on the younger generation of gamblers and to the growing Chinese tourist market.

The project will be built in the northern section of the Las Vegas strip and will have 3 000 plus rooms, a 9 290 m2 casino, retail options, restaurants, gaming space and a nightclub.

Edward Farrel, a gaming industry veteran has been elected as president of RWLV and he and his elected team of professionals will see the development through. He has stated that this resort will offer a unique opportunity to introduce the Genting Group’s massive Asian experience to the US.
