Police arrested the second suspect in the robbery and kidnapping of a couple in Yakima at the Casino Caribbean near Nob Hill Boulevard in late August this year.

The second suspect was arrested from inside a house in the 1100 block of Cherry Avenue on Monday at around 2:45 p.m., with many officers with riot shields and others with pistols. According to the police, he is one of the three accused involved in the August 22 incident in which one of the men asked the couple to help him with his car problems in casino’s parking lot, as per the court documents filed on August 23.

The couple were encountered by another man who was known to the couple and was armed. According to the police, the man ordered the couple into the back seat of the car and drove them to a home in the block of South Sixth Street.

The third suspect was waiting for them in the house. One of the accused tried to staple the kidnapped man’s hand before hitting him in the head with the staple gun. The couple was then driven to their house, which was robbed after which the men fled in the couple’s car.

Another suspect was arrested late last month by the police and is at present being held at the Yakima County jail on $75,000 bail.
