The state of New York is going to expand its gambling service base as the Oneida Indian Nation is rolling out a massive casino project in the town of Sullivan in Madison County.

The value of the project located approximately 20 miles from downtown Syracuse is estimated to be in the region of $40-$50 million.

The tribe currently operates the Turning Stone Casino in Verona.

The new establishment is going to be named Point Place Casino, and it is expected to open next spring. According to the plan, the facility will accommodate 500 slot machines and 20 table games.

The newest gambling parlor belonging to the tribe is the Yellow Brick Road Casino in Chittenango. It opened back in 2015.

The Oneida Nation has also revealed that it is launching a social casino platform. The move has been spurred by recent legislative activity towards decriminalizing online poker.

Three new commercial casinos have opened in various regions of New York state in the course of the past five months.
