New Hertel Casino Welcomes First Guests on May 1

It has been announced that the St. Croix Casino Hertel Express will open on May 1. Keith O’Brien, Owners Representative and Chairman of the Board for the St. Croix Economic Development Corporation also said that the 850-people outdoor amphitheater of the complex will welcome visitors on Memorial Day weekend, while the R/V park will be operational as of the middle of June.

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony will commence at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 1.

The address of the new gambling establishment is east of the “Little Hertel Turtle Express” on State Highway 70.

The Hertel casino will feature 50 seats of restaurant dining, a gas station, convenience store and cigar shop.

The R/V park will accommodate drive-through sites with electric power, picnic tables and wi-fi. In addition, the construction plan foresees an extra truck parking offering lounge seating, private restrooms with showers, and laundry facilities.

The project has taken 7 months to complete. Construction has not ceased since groundbreaking last September.
