Share

Things have not been so good ever since the opening of the MGM National Harbor Casino in Prince George’s County in December for Hollywood Casino Perryville.

Hotel Casino Perryville has ever since seen a decline of nearly 3.7%, of around $1.5 million compared to the numbers the same time, the previous year.

The casino saw revenue of $39.3 million during December 2015 to May 2016, making some $6.5 million per month on an average but during December 2016 to May 2017 the revenue generated had dropped down to $37.8 million, some $6.3 million on an average per month.

Being the first casino in the state the initial revenues were above $80 million in 2011 and $118 million in 2012.

Though as per the Hollywood casino officials, they somehow had not expected it, the casino has been seeing a decline in its revenue as the new casinos kept popping up in the state.
