Liquidation Sale Of Trump’s Taj Mahal Is Underway

Share

Thursday started the liquidation sale of the articles and all the contents of the Atlantic City’ Trump Taj Mahal. The lobby of the Casino was filled up with hundreds of people in hopes of securing a deal. These people weren’t gamblers; they were just bargain hunters looking out for rock-bottom prices at the liquidation sale of the casino built in 1990.

National Content Liquidators was the company hosting the liquidation sale that bought all the unwanted contents of the casino and hotel from Hard Rock International, which bought the shuttered property in March for $50 million. Trump spent $1.2 billion to open it.

The most popular items on the sale were TVs, chairs and room furnishings. Further on sale were the massive ornate crystal chandeliers from Austria that President Trump and first wife Ivana picked out for the casino.

In the sale, biggest three chandeliers cost $250,000 apiece were put on a price of $35,000 and the seven smaller ones costing $40,000 were marked down to $7,500 apiece.

It was slightly disappointing for the political junkies who lost their interest in discovering that Trump’s name from all the items was removed from the casino before the sale began.

The entire inventory of Around 30,000 bedsheets was purchased by a buyer even before the sale started and the only thing in the room was two huge racks filled with hundreds of irons each selling for $8. A man purchased flat-screen video monitor for $50.
