Japan gets ready to gamble

Share

Japanese might soon have casinos to play at as a group of lawmakers will submit a bill to the parliament later this year to legalize casinos in that country. If the bill is approved, Macau’s global gaming title will be challenged.

The negotiation for opening casinos in Japan have been on the table for years as “Japan may be the only developed country without casinos”, said Takeshi Iwaya in an interview.

A change in the government goals to feed the economy, may result in the legalization of casino games.
