Hard Rock All Set To Enter Vietnam Casino Market

Hard Rock International Inc, a U.S. based casino operator and hospitality business has expressed its interest in developing a casino at Laguna L?ng Cô beach resort, Vietnam. The company is all set to start the construction, once the government approves the licensing.

The company has been shortlisted as a possible partner for the resort according to Daniel Cheng, Senior Vice President of Hard Rock for casino business development in Asia.

The Laguna L?ng Cô project in April 2013 and is located on the country’s north central coast. The project has 57 villa Banyan Tree resort, 229-room Angsana resort and an 18-hole golf in its phase one.

The casino would have a capital cost of nearly US$250 million and can be implemented in the second, third and fourth phases of the project, under the proposal for the Laguna L?ng Cô.

US$2 billion is the minimum required capital expenditure for a Vietnam casino to be considered eligible to take part in a three-year trial under which economically qualified gambler would be accepted as patrons.
