Gila River Gaming Enterprises in A Possible Deal with The NFL for Naming Rights

Share

Recent reports suggest that the NFL will meet with Gila River Gaming Enterprises to possibly conclude a naming rights contract for the Cardinal’s 11-year-old venue Busch Stadium.

The gambling enterprise has four operational casinos with the Gila River Indian Community near Phoenix Arizona. The interesting fact is that the NFL has continued to disassociate with gambling, but in this instant, it seems that they may be now willing to negotiate with gambling concerns in terms of receiving income from naming rights.

The deal may never happen, but it is indicative of how the league is possibly changing its attitude towards gambling connections in that it has not as yet been rejected.  It could be that the rhetoric may change in the same way the league changed its tune regarding Las Vegas.
