On Sunday night, Las Vegas witnessed one of the deadliest carnage in modern US history. Stephen Paddock, 64-year-old, carried out 11-minute long shooting spree from Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino killing 59 people and injuring more than 500 people gathered to attend the music festival. Following this, the Eureka Casino Resort in Mesquite, NV, USA is donating $50,000 and organizing a fundraiser to support the victims and their families of the Las Vegas shooting.

Eureka CEO Greg Lee and COO Andre Carrier, in a joint note, said that Mesquite might be a small town, but it has a big heart. They both emphasized that it is sometimes the role of our employee-owned family business to give that heart a voice. The Eureka Casino Resort is Nevada’s only employee-owned resort casino. The company said to do all that can be done to bring complete healing of body and mind to all those directly attacked by this heinous attack.

The company is also donating 100 percent of the proceeds generated from a buffet themed Viva Las Vegas to the victims’ fund scheduled to be organized on Saturday, Oct 7. The victim fund’s buffet will be held in Town Square from 4:00-7:00 p.m. After such a painful week, this will be an opportunity for Mesquite to come together.
