The famous comedian George Lopez was arrested in a Canadian Casino last night, charged with public intoxication. Lopez had simply had too much to drink that night in the casino and fell asleep on the casino floor, which Caesars Windsor’s security team spotted and called the police.
The police arrested Lopez in a nearby bar, where they brought him to the station to sleep it out. Police informed TMZ that they would not file any official charges against Lopez and that he has been released this morning.
Lopez had just performed at the hotel and will be performing again tonight, hopefully he will not fall asleep on stage. Lopez also send a statement to TMZ.com that said:
Tied one on last night. Not feeling great this morning. I was trying to sleep it off, unfortunately, it was on the casino floor.”
