Bellagio Robbery Suspect Arrested

Share

This Friday the Bellagio hotel and casino in Las Vegas had an armed robbery, as a white male came in with a gun and grabbed all the money he could at around 8.30 PM local time. But robbing a casino that is full of high-tech security cameras and tons of witnesses might not be such a great idea, as photos and descriptions of the man was quickly released.

This lead to the police being able to arrest the suspect on Saturday at the Hard Rock Casino, where the police had gotten a tip that he was staying at that moment. Jesse Jones as the suspect is named isn’t exactly hard to spot, as the criminal has “White Pride” tattooed on his eyebrows.

Jones was arrested with charges of armed robbery and a rough estimate from the casino and police said that he managed to get away with around $30,000-$50,000 before getting caught 24 hours later.  As Jones did not threaten anyone else but the teller at Bellagio, his charges will not be as hard as if he would have threatened more people.

This is not the first time that the Bellagio has been targeted for criminals looking to score big and quick, as the casino had $1.5 million worth of chips stolen back in 2011, which was discovered by an undercover police officer who bought some of them. Here the robber, Anthony Carleo, showed his gun at a craps table and stole the chips.
