BCGC to Collaborate with New Jersey Casino Expert

Share

The Bermuda Casino Gaming Commission (BCGC) is partnering with George Rover, former Deputy Director of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE).

The DGE is known to be maintaining extremely high standards in terms of regulatory compliance, having investigated the largest companies in the industry as well as multi-millionaires such as Carl Icahn and U.S. President Donald Trump.

Mr Rover has taken part in solving numerous complex cases such as MGM’s withdrawal and return to New Jersey due to its activities on the Asian market, as well as Amaya’s $4.5 billion acquisition of PokerStars in 2014.

Mr Rover’s collaboration with BCGC entails advisory services on gaming related issues, including the drafting of regulations and participation in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.

According to Mr Rover, Bermuda’s gaming industry should be recognized as fair and transparent as long as all the operators on the market have the full licenses. He also added that anti-money laundering operations would also be crucial for the successful operation of the casino industry on the island.
