Australian media watchdog calling for further blocks on online gambling operators

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) are continuing their fight against unlicensed and therefore illegally operating gambling providers in the Country.

According to ACMA, following numerous complaints and thorough investigation, they have found these operators to be in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. As a result, ACMA has announced the blocking of additional online gambling operators by Australian Internet Service Providers and are now urging the Australian users to withdraw their funds.

ACMA believe the blocking of websites of these online operators to be a valuable tool in protecting Australians against illegal online gambling and have since November 2019 already blocked over 200 operators. The sites that are soon to be blocked include:
