Taking advantage of the momentum created by individual states considering to legalize and regulate online gambling and the creation of more and more gambling websites, two senators have formed an alliance to revive a Congressional Gaming Caucus. Representatives Bennie Thompson from Mississippi and Joe Heck from Nevada, intend to look out for the industry's interests and promote its benefits. According to a statement, they believe the industry has the potential to create thousands of new jobs while spending millions of dollars on local communities. “If we truly want to promote economic development and jobs, we must begin to work with businesses that exist in the communities we serve — like the commercial gaming industry,” said Thompson.
