Melbourne man who was arrested for crashing into the Crown Casino along with the three banks and speeding through the city will reappear in court.

The 34-year-old accused, Chen Jie Xu caused damage to the property worth $50,000 on June 13 by driving into the buildings on Swanston Street including the ANZ and Commonwealth banks and a salon.

Xu was arrested after the rampage he caused with his Honda 4WD. The police alleged that Xu had also struck the Westpac Bank on Collins Street with his car. The accused was finished with his rampage after he crashed into the glass doors at Crown Casino before stopping at the base of an escalator.

Xu was out on bail at the time of the incident and dropped his bid for bail earlier this month. Xu has been charged with criminal damage, endangering life, dangerous driving and a weapons offence. He will appear on Monday in this regard in Melbourne Magistrates Court.
