Nevada gaming officials have preliminarily approved a joint venture between 888 Holdings and Golden Gaming, the corporation behind over 40 different casinos within the state borders. 888 Holdings, one of the worlds biggest online gaming operators and software providers, already has an agreement with Las Vegas based Treasure Island casino for an online poker website, platform and network delivery.
Add the new deal with Golden Gaming and 888’s foothold in the Silver State seems as solid as can be. They will also have access to all the live customers of any and all of the 40+ casinos spread throughout the state since part of the strategy is for Golden Gaming to drive and convert their customers into the online realm. The chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, A.G. Burnett said of the deal: “This is a good example of new ideas coming to the marketplace. It’s an attempt to add further liquidity. I, for one, welcome it.”
