A buck for a bash! Yes, that’s what happened at Harrah’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino last week. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that one lucky gambler made a fortune just before Thanksgiving — winning a whopping $939,355 with a little $1.25 bet.

The gambler tried his hand at the slot game, dropping five quarters (25 cents) into a “Wheel of Fortune 3D” machine.

According to a spokeswoman of International Game Technology (IGT), the winner has asked to remain anonymous.

After the scoop of almost a million dollars, the machine’s top prize was reset to $200,000.

IGT progressive slot wins are typically offered as a lump sum payment less than the actual jackpot or paid in annual instalments over a period. The Megabucks jackpot was last hit for $11.8 million in August, at the Fremont in downtown Las Vegas.
