Online gambling plagues Scottish Football

Threre is apparently a grave issue involving football players and officials and online gambling. Ian Black, Rangers midfielder, has been accused by the Scottish Football Association of illegal gambling on football matches. The team leader, Ally McCoist, has stated that gambing on a few matches is normal and should not be considered as illegal.

He also revealed he has a list of over 100 players and officials which are part of the organization who have also placed bets on football games. Should McCoist go public with the list, it could be considered as a threatening situation for the Scottish Football Association.

McCoist stated: “What I’m asking for is for everybody to get around a table, whether it’s the SFA, the players’ union, bookmakers, whoever. Let’s all sit around a table and find out what’s allowed, what’s not allowed and then we can start again.”
