GoldBet, one of the biggest Italian friendly bookmakers, announced today that they have found the replacement for their chief executive officer, Tim Parker, who left the company for new challenges earlier this year. GoldBet has chosen to go for internal channels and has chosen Michele Sprovieri as the new CEO.

Sprovieri has been with Goldbet since 2012, where he has been holding the position of Chief Technical Officer. He started his new job as CEO on November 20th and will have to change a lot of things for GoldBet, who has lost large market shares in the past years to other Italian-friendly bookmakers and poker rooms, such as Planetwin365.

“During the last few years the company has been performing well but we are now looking to new step forward,I have been part of this group for many years, and I am confident that we have the potential to achieve our objectives,” Sprovieri said to EGR Magazine.

GoldBet is based out of Austria with their license in Malta. The company has always had a focus on the Italian market however, having catered to it without having an AAMS license. GoldBet is set to receive the AAMS license shortly, so they can operate legally in Italy and focus on expanding to new markets.
