LeoVegas with Sports Betting Licence for Ireland

Share

Mobile gaming operator LeoVegas has obtained a sports betting licence for the Irish market.

This comes as a result of the Stockholm-listed company’s efforts to offer more services to Irish users next to the mobile casino it currently operates.

The launch of LeoVegas’ Kambi sports betting platform is expected until the end of March 2017.

“LeoVegas continues to grow in regulated markets,” comments Gustaf Hagman, Group CEO and LeoVegas co-founder. “The fact that we have in a short time been granted licences in two regulated markets (Denmark and Ireland) shows that we are delivering in accordance with our expansion strategy. But it also shows that we have high capacity and quality in our organisation and in the work we do. I am convinced that our market-leading sport product will contribute to strong growth in Ireland.”

Following the announcement of the licensure, shares in LeoVegas Group AB were traded at SEK 40.90 on Tuesday, which is a 0.74% increase from Monday
