Fortuna Entertainment has announced an agreement for the acquisition of sports betting software provider Hattrick Sports Group. The deal comprises a 100% share in the company.

According to its management, the move will position Fortuna as the largest licensed multi-channel sports betting operator in Central and Southeastern Europe.

Hattrick Sports Group owns major Romanian betting operator Casa Pariurilor and its Croatian counterpart PSK. Moreover, the company has a stake in Spanish-based Luckia.

Fortuna’s CEO Per Widerström has confirmed that the company intends to retain Hattrick’s Romanian and Croatian assets. To this end, Fortuna’s business strategy will rely on expanding services and offers for customers in regional markets along with providing better opportunities for its staff and business partners. Ultimately, this is to result in increased value for the company’s shareholders.

According to Carsten Sundberg, CEO of Hattrick Sports, “The combination of Fortuna and Hattrick Sports Group has a compelling logic and aligns strategically very well.”
