A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Esports Integrity Coalition (ESIC) and the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) as part of the entities’ efforts against betting fraud in esports.

The agreement makes it possible for both organizations to exchange information on suspicious bets and likely match arrangement, as well as any other esports-related fraud. Red tape in the process has been reduced to a minimum.

Since the data will be shared in real time, that can tangibly enhance the prevention of corruption and aid all interested stakeholders in their esports anti-fraud campaigns.

In addition, the MoU will speed up decision-making processes in the NGCB related to the initiation of investigations to establish details around potential fraudulent events such as match manipulation, void bets and others.

Esports Integrity Commissioner Ian Smith has called the NGCB “the gold standard in the regulation of sports betting in the USA” and has expressed satisfaction with the partnership.
