Boylesports Acquiring Six Tully Bookie Stores in Ireland

Share

Boylesports, one of the leading bookmakers in the UK and around Europe, announced yesterday that they have acquired a total of six stores from the competitive bookmaker Tully Bookmaker. The deal is worth an estimated €2 million and will see Boylesports having over 200 stores in Ireland.

Besides taking over the location of the stores, Boylesports will also be taking over all inventory and redesign it into their own unique way. Furthermore the staff of the stores will also be offered to stay with the company and more might even be hired, which has brought joy to the employees currently employed there.

“The acquisition brings us to 205 stores which brings us over 200 stores for the first time. We are going to invest significantly in the new shops, invest in new tech and bring them up to a modern standard” Spokesperson for Boylesports said in a press release.

“We are delighted with this acquisition which allows us to significantly grow in the South East. We look forward to extending Boylesports’ industry-leading suite of products to existing Tully customers in the region.” John Boyle, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Boylesports added.

A move into England might be next for Boylesports, with the new UK license making the competition smaller for them. While their competitors will be the biggest bookies, they will no longer have to compete with thousands of small online bookmakers on top of that.
