The second day of play of the Main Event at the European Poker Tour in Barcelona has come to an end and despite having more than 900 players participating in day 2, the players still managed to bust out enough players throughout the day.
A total of 292 players are left in the tournament, which begins its day 3 in just a few hours. We are very close to the money bubble, as the tournament pays 239 players. The players will be going after the first prize however, as it has been revealed that it’s a massive €1,261,000 which you can compare to a min cash of €8,050.
Many of the big name pros also busted out on day 2 including Jake Cody, Daniel Negreanu, Ivan Demidov, Johnny Lodden, Theo Jorgensen, Liv Boeree, Leo Fernandez as well as Eugene Katchalov. The competition is very tough at these events, so unfortunately for these players it was just not their day.
The tournament is being dominated by Germans in the top chip stacks, despite it being a Czech who is in front. Vojtech Ruzicka from Czech is the chipleader with 621,000 in chips going into day three, but there’s five Germans in the top 10 chip stacks.
Day 3 begins at 12.00 CET and will continue to play for around 12 hours before finishing for the day.
