The UKIPT is one of the most popular poker tournament series in the UK, not only because of the fact that it is hosted by the world's most popular poker sites, but also because the series offers a wide range of events in a reasonable buy-in price range.
Now the independent Isle of Man, located in the sea between Ireland and the UK, will be hosting the next UKIPT, starting October 1st. Isle of Man is mostly well known for their sheeps, their yearly race where several people die on average as well as being the home of Pokerstars and Full Tilt's mother company, Rational Group.
Isle of Man has established themselves as the best regulator of online gaming within the past years, having strict requirements that only attracts the most solid companies. Due to Pokerstars unique position with the island, they have decided to host a poker tournament here yearly, despite of the island only having 81,000 inhabitants.
The UKIPT Isle of Man will run from October 1st to 6th and will have several events for players to enjoy, which includes the main event with a £770 buy-in. The main event has had satellites running for a long period of time and is expected to attract players in the thousands.
To ensure that the players will travel to the island to play poker, Pokerstars will be hosting guided tours around their headquarters as well as a party where several of the most well known Pokerstars pro's will be coming by.
