Monte Carlo Poker Room Closes Due to Rebranding

MGM Resorts International has set out to replace the Monte Carlo brand with two new hotels, Park MGM and NoMad.

The Monte Carlo will continue welcoming guests during the construction works but its poker room will be shut down. That means 19 facilities on the Strip will be left for poker players to choose from.

Super High Roller Bowl to Select Players Through Lottery

A lottery will decide who gets to play out of the 54 players who registered for the 50-seat Super High Roller Bowl event. Contrary to an initial announcement that 15 seats will be reserved for non-professionals, they will now be distributed among pros due to considerable interest in the event. A celebrity, whose name will be announced in March, will also feature at the game. Possible nominees include Michael Phelps, Aaron Paul, Kevin Hart and Tiffany.
