Sofia Lovgren Stops With PKR - Eleanor Gudger Takes Her Spot

The Swedish Team PKR pro Sofia Lovgren have officially stopped her partnership with PKR, going on the pursuit for new challenges and experiences. PKR has been very happy and satisfied with their partnership with Lovgren, not only due to her great poker skills but also due to her personality.

“Of the more than 20 Team Pros we have been associated with, Sofia has had the greatest impact on our own players, and outside PKR’s walls. Her poker ability and more importantly her loyalty, professionalism, determination and work ethic are the reasons she has done so well, and why new doors have opened for her.” Head of Content and PR for PKR, Dan Grant said.

PKR seems to have moved on from the loss of Lovgren quite fast, as they also just announced who will be taking her spot in the PKR team pro. The British player Eleanor Gudger, well known for her screen name "Elz442", is a new member of the pro team, having played on PKR since early 2007.

Gudger started out by winning $1 in a freeroll and have since then won several tournaments and a massive $225,000 in online tournament winnings. Her success is what caught PKR's eyes and they wanted to help her play more live tournaments through the sponsorship.

Gudger have already played some of the bigger live tournaments in the world, finishing in 6th place for $27.000 in the WSOP Ladies Event last year. This year will be different as she will be playing more events and represent the British 3D poker site officially.

“I’ve always followed the progress of the PKR Team Pros, so part of me has always wanted to be part of that group. These kind of poker sponsorship deals don’t come along very often, so I feel really fortunate to have this opportunity.” Gudger said.
