Ronaldo Nazario, better known simply as Ronaldo, the Brazilian football master, attended the Barcelona leg of the European Poker Tour (EPT) as one of PokerStars brand ambassadors. He played at the €5000 "Phenomenon Table" freeroll where he was challenged by competition winners who had earned their seats as prize to satellite tournaments to the event.
Jose Luis Saez from Madrid, Manuel Correa from Cordoba and Vicente Delgado from Malaga were the lucky winners who had a chance to play next to and against the famous football legend.
Attending the same tournament were other poker pros and celebrities like Leo Margets, Bertrand Grospellier and Vanessa Selbst as well as the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event winner, Jonathan Duhamel. Selbst, the winner of the charity tournament, donated her winnings to charity.
Ronaldo is just one of many sports legends to join the poker giant as brand ambassadors such as Rafa Nadal, Fatima Moreira de Melo and Markus Hellner.
