PPA Launches Massachusetts Online Poker Campaign

The Poker Player Alliance is launching a campaign to urge for the addition of online poker in the SB101 proposed bill in Massachusetts. SB101 was designed to allow the state lottery organization to experiment with the introduction of online gambling within its services.

John Pappas, Executive Director of the Poker Players Alliance, has sent a statement to the Joint Committee on Consumer  Protection and Professional Licensure, asking them to examine the benefits of introducing online poker intrastate-wide within Massachusetts, much like it was done in Delaware, New Jersey and Nevada.

Pappas also noted that many other states, including Illinois, California and Iowa are finally "recognizing the potential for significant job growth and millions in added revenue, and are proposing their own legislation to regulate the online poker industry". Massachusetts should in light of these events, at the very least, entertain the idea and incestigate its own online poker laws.
