Pokerstars Releases Biggest Ever SCOOP Schedule – $40 Million Guaranteed in Tournaments

Pokerstars continues to show that they are the number one poker site in the world, both for cash game but also for tournaments with the release of the schedule of their next SCOOP Championship. The schedule has 45 events, spread out over 135 tournaments at all levels of buy-in and guarantees a massive $40 million overall.

The Spring Championship of Online Poker will take place from May 4th to May 18th and will host three daily events which includes re-entry tournaments as well as progressive super knock-out tournaments as new additions to the regular schedule, due to the popularity of these kind of tournaments.

The SCOOP main event is always the main attraction of the championship and once again there will be a main event both for low ($109 buy-in), medium ($1,050 buy-in) and high ($10,300 buy-in). The low main event guarantees $1 million in prizes, medium guarantees $2 million and the high roller main event guarantees $3 million, providing a massive first prize for whoever is lucky and skilled enough to win.

Pokerstars will also have a SCOOP leaderboard, where the best tournament players will compete for the top places and extra prizes. There will be a low, medium and high leaderboard and the winners will receive a trophy for their accomplishment as well as a package to the PCA 2015. The overall leaderboard winner receives a trophy as well and a EPT Grand Final 2015 package. Furthermore there will be additional prizes to top 250 in low, top 50 in medium and top 10 in high.

Pokerstars expects this year’s SCOOP to beat previous records in terms of size and total tournament prize pools, which was set last year by having a total prize pool of $75,585,435.05. This will be done by having 18 different games, 15 different formats, 13 tournaments with $1 million or more guaranteed and 90 tournaments with $100K or more guaranteed.
