PKR Hosting Live Tour in Cannes and Updates 3D Poker App

The England-based poker room, PKR, announced today that they are getting ready for their 8th birthday with the world's most popular 3D poker room. PKR have two surprises up their sleeves for their players, ensuring that they are fully optimized for the final quarter of the year, usually the most busy of the year.

The first surprise is that the 3D PKR Poker application is finally coming out with an update. allowing players from the UK, Ireland as well as many other European countries to play directly from their mobile or tablet device. The app allows players to play tournaments, sit n goes as well as cash games.

Apple users from other countries will be able to access multi table tournaments through the 2D PKR poker application instead of the 3D version. This version offers a much smaller download size, but still has that touch which makes PKR so unique compared to its competitors. A similar update will be released for Android users in the distant future.

The second surprise from PKR is that they will be hosting a PKR Live Tournament in Cannes, their 9th offline event ever and the first outside of the UK. The 3-day Main Event has a €400 buy-in and will take place in the Casino Barriere de Cannes Croisette from October 23-26th, with online qualifiers staying in the beautiful Hotel Majestic Barriere nearby the casino.

You can qualify for the tournament through PKR's online satellites, where users can win a $1,200 package which includes buy-in, accommodation and $200 in spending money. French players can also qualify for the tournament and win a €850 package, but the euro package is only for
