New York is all set to try again at online poker.
On Monday New York’s Senate voted on the online poker proposal sitting on the table.
The estimated collection of year-one online poker market for New York State has been $120 million as compared to New Jersey’s collection which was $30 million for the year 2016.
The internet gaming bill was approved by the Senate by a 53-5 vote last year.
The state’s commercial casinos are on board with the web poker said the Assemblyman J. Gary Pretlow, Chairman of the Committee on Racing and Wagering. As all the four casinos didn’t have a problem with the state offering online poker.
When the neighbouring states were beefing up their respective gambling industries, the New York state’s brick and mortar casino construction came out.
It was discovered that the residents of New York were spending about $1 billion was being spent each year at out-of-state casinos by the residents of New York, seeing this the legislature authorised the four Las Vegas-style casino facilities. Of four, three are already open.
These three commercial poker rooms collected $860,000 last month. Online poker would be great for live poker in New York.
