Monte Carlo Shuts Down Poker Room and Steakhouse

Share

Las Vegas’ Monte Carlo hotel-casino is currently in the process of transforming its assets, which has necessitated the closure of its poker room and steakhouse. Owner MGM Resorts International has made a move towards rebranding the resort and casino and opening two new hotels in its place.

The closing date of Monte Carlo’s poker room has been set for April 25. However, the Race and Sports Book located next to the poker room will continue to operate.

The second facility that is going to stop welcoming clients is Brand Steakhouse. There will be new ideas for utilizing the vacant space.

Last October saw the shutdown of Monte Carlo’s swimming pool as well as the shops along the Street of Dreams, including The Pub.

According to the project plan, the resort is going to build two new hotels – Park MGM and The NoMad Last Vegas. Construction is foreseen to complete at the end of 2018. The total cost of the new venture is estimated at $450 million.
