Mississippi and Horseshoe Tunica stops for PPC Poker Tour

The PPC Poker Tour (PPC) will be visiting the Horsesho Tunica from August 20-24, 2014, in it’s first-ever stop in Mississippi. This six-event series will be featuring a $350 buy-in, $50,000 guarantee Main Event starting on Friday, August 22 through to Sunday, August 24. Additionally, there will be a Senior Poker Tour event with a $120 buy-in event.

"Our expansion nationwide cotninues and in bringing the tour to Tunica we are showing just how  serious we are,” said Sandy Swartzbaugh, Commissioner of the PPC. “Combining the allure of Aruba with the tour will hopefully create big enough excitement for the Mississippi players as well as those from the surrounding areas. You win at Tunica and then you’re off to Aruba for the ultimate “Poker-Cation.”

Adding to the excitement are the tasty buy-ins for the Player of the Series - a $5,000 PPC World Championship package, including a $2,200 buy-in, $200,000 guarantee entry to the Main Event; one $200 buy-in, $15,000 guarantee entry; another $100 buy-in, $5,000 guarantee 1st place entry, as well as seven-night stay at the Radisson Aruba Resort with $400 for travel expenses.

“We are quite excited to be partners with the popular PPC Poker Tour. Their idea of sending the winners from all stops to Aruba is very attractive to the players,” said Lisa Crompton, the Poker Room Manager at Horseshoe Tunica. “They are also partners with the Senior Poker Tour and LIPS which has events for an extremely wide range of poker players. This promises to be a great series for players from all around the region.”

The PPC, which hosted eight events in Season 1 in which Robin Kazemieh managed to win against Joe Ebanks for the 2013 PPC Aruba World Championship $2,500 Main Event, is planning to have over 25 events on their schedule for 2014.
