The world's first Open Face Chinese Poker World Championship finished up yesterday in Prague, hosted by the world's leading online Open Face Chinese site TonyBet. While the title is far from official, we are still quite sure that the winner, Jennifer Shadade, is quite pleased with her performance.
Shadade went all the way and knocked out some prominent players along the way, including Jason Mercier and Ilya Bulychev in the final round. Shadade took home €88,000 for her efforts, which isn't the highest prize of all time, but still quite a decent amount for a poker variant which is only starting to become popular.
When Shadade and Bulychev played the final round, they both had the same amount of chips more or less, which led to them agreeing on a deal which would give them the same prize, except for an additional €5,000 and the trophy to play for.
Shadade was quite pleased with her victory and said that she had never played such an expensive tournament before and therefore was quite pleased to having won it. Shadade is a great chess player and also makes money coaching Open Face Chinese online.
